Excelsior Springs, has been selected to host the 2025 Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) Conference, an annual event organized by the University of Missouri. The conference will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2025, bringing a diverse group of economic developers, community leaders, elected officials, and educators to the city.

“Paint the Town” Plein Air 2025 will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Artists will paint in the historic district of Excelsior Springs as well as the Excelsior Springs Golf Course.

Details
The paint out will run from 8AM to 4PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 and is open to all painters of any medium. Awards will be judged starting at 5:00 pm. There is no cost to join us and paint. To enter the Cash Awards Competition there is a $35.00 entry fee per artist. Artists must be registered no later than 12PM (day of event) to be eligible for awards. You will need to get your canvases stamped in order to be eligible to enter for the awards.

Purchase Awards selections will be made by the sponsor.

Artwork will be displayed for public purchase at the event.

You are not required to register if you just want to paint. If you want to be eligible for the above prizes you must register either the day of the event or with this form. All canvases must be stamped the day of the event. By registering you agree to sell anything entered in the awards process. You are not required to enter all paintings completed the day of the event. Paintings may be sold from their easel anytime during the event. If a painting is sold in advance, it will not be eligible for the Purchase Award and Cash competition.
