Chief Bill Stewart Education Fund
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Retired Fire Chief Bill Stewart, former leader of ESFD. Chief Stewart served the citizens of Excelsior with dedication, valor, and integrity for over 46 years, leaving an indelible mark on our community.
Chief Stewart was not only a respected leader but also a mentor and friend to many within our ranks. He embodied the highest ideals of public service, demonstrating unwavering commitment to protecting and serving others.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Chief Stewart’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Their loss is immeasurable, and our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this period of grief.
ESFD and the fire service community mourns the loss of a remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to inspire us all. May Chief Stewart’s memory be a source of comfort and strength to those who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Excelsior Springs Fire Department, c/o Chief Bill Stewart Education Fund.
The monies from the Bill Stewart fund are to be used to pay tuition for individuals wanting to become firefighters, EMT’s and Paramedics.
